The new Multilift II with internal carriage – ideal for all applications in which a vertical adjusting movement is required in combination with a defined installation dimension
The electrical lifting columns of the Multilift II series from RK Rose+Krieger are the ideal drive elements if, alongside motorised adjustment, you are looking for stable guidance and attractive design. The seventh lifting column variant now joins the product family: the new Multilift II with internal carriage is ideal for all applications in which a vertical adjusting movement is required in combination with a defined installation dimension.
The new member of the Multilift II lifting columns family differs from the other versions in the series in that it has a specific construction. The height of the column remains constant, whilst the integrated carriage travels in it, guiding the load along the side of the external profile. The standard stroke length is 498 mm. Special stroke lengths of up to 1000 mm are available on request.
The new Multilift II is used as a dual-column system, equipped with fixing slots in the external profile and an internal carriage, making it ideally suited for the implementation of material lifting mechanisms next to a height-adjustable assembly workstation. When combined with the premium version of the MultiControl II quadro drive controller, all lifting columns can be moved individually, in parallel or synchronously from the workbench and material shelf using the controller's drive group management.
As with all Multilift II lifting columns, the following also applies to the version with internal carriage: special stroke lengths, installation heights and custom solutions can be implemented on request. A BUS system with synchronous control for moving multiple lifting columns is also available on request.
The Multilift II lifting columns product family from RK Rose+Krieger currently comprises seven different versions. They facilitate straightforward height adjustment of assembly workstations, media technology or workbenches in control rooms. The stroke elements thus contribute considerably to the optimum ergonomic conditions in the workstation.
The sophisticated construction of the Multilift II lifting columns impresses with high compressive force/tensile forces of up to 3000 N, optimum connection options thanks to profile slots, a stable motor housing and integrated limit switch. Given that all the technology is hidden inside the stroke element, the Multilift II is a stylish eye-catcher in all its versions.
Catalogue »The telescopic version of the Multilift II – the Multilift II telescope – is RK Rose+Krieger's response to greater demands from customers for two-legged bench systems. The three-stage lifting column conforms to the ergonomics standard for workbenches (DIN EN 527-1:2011) and features an optimum height/stroke length ratio: the installation dimension in a retracted position is just 560 mm. The maximum stroke is 650 mm with a maximum lifting force of up to 3000 N per drive. This is currently the only one this type of lifting column on the market. The maximum extension of 1,210 mm conforms to the applicable standards for workplace ergonomics in many applications for assembly workstations, equipment, control rooms, and much more besides. The contact between the profiles – important for stability – has been sized perfectly despite the stroke length and permits high bending moments for both static and dynamic loading.
The Multilift II clean has now been added to the range. It has been deliberately developed for use in the clean room. A special shroud for the DC motor with brushes of the lifting column means discharge of particles is kept to a minimum. To verify its suitability for use in clean rooms, the Fraunhofer Institute for Manufacturing Engineering and Automation IPA carried out a particle emissions test as per DIN EN ISO 14644-1 and certified the lifting column for use in clean rooms up to a globally valid class 4.
Multilift II safety is yet another version of the Multilift II lifting column that is in the pipeline. RK Rose+Krieger has developed this column specially for overhead applications in media technology. Its uses include the correct positioning of projectors and monitors, whereby the lifting column is mounted upside down on the ceiling. A proprietary developed internal safety system prevents any accidental extension of the lifting column.
The Multilift II impact lifting column from RK Rose+Krieger demonstrates perfectly that electrically adjustable lifting columns can not only look good and operate reliably under normal conditions, but can also be extremely robust. The slim electric height adjustment system has an integrated damping system that is able to absorb high impact forces, such as those that occur when unloading a workpiece. This means that the damping system – currently the only one of its kind on the market – prevents any overload due to strong dynamic stresses, making the Multilift II impact particularly suited for the height adjustment of industrial assembly tables.
In the electronics and semiconductor manufacturing industry, electrostatic discharges can impair the function of components being assembled, or even destroy them. Special ESD assembly workstations are equipped with an antistatic finishing that prevents this from occurring. Until now, lifting columns for the height adjustment of workstations have prevented the safe dissipation of electrostatic discharges by interrupting the electric connection between the table and the foot frame. However, with the Multilift II ESD, RK Rose+Krieger has developed a patented electric height adjustment system that is able to dissipate voltages. This has been realised thanks to the design of the outer and inner profiles which are continuously in contact with one another.
